Susanna...

I was scanning through my blog list today, checking to see if anyone had posted something new. I viewed A Place Called Simplicity, one of my favorite blogs, and a new post awaited me. The title is, in itself, heartbreaking.

Oh Susanna-now don't you cry....

A little girl named Susanna is the subject. She is six years old and about the size of my one-year-old brother. She has never been out of her room before, she has Hydrocephalus AND Spina Bifida. She is paralyzed from her waist down.

Little Susanna desperately needs a family. Will you help spread the word, Body of Christ?

You can read Susanna's full post here.

Read This...

                                                 Happy Valentine"s Day, everyone!

         For most, Valentines Day is a time for showing your family how much you love them                 (which isn't bad, by the way).

            For a very, very small group, Valentine's Day is a time for thanking Jesus.
                 Thanking Jesus for loving us so much, that he died for us.

Us.

Sinners.

                                                                 Think on that.

  Once again, I am NOT saying that it is bad to tell your family how much you care about them by giving gifts!

                                                                 NO WAY!

 I am merely saying that this Valentine's Day, you should try to thank Him and worship Him like you have never done before.

If I offend you by saying these things of truth, but that you just don't want to hear,
then I gently suggest that you leave my blog and never come back, because I am not afraid to share my beliefs.

Psalm 103

I apologize in advance; this is in King James Version. I know a lot of people say it's hard to understand...but I love it...how did they really talk back then? :)
Anyway, this is my favorite Psalm. Enjoy!

Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with loving kindness and tender mercies;

 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

 The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.

 He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.

 The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

 He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.

 He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

 Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.

 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

 As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.

 For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.

 But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;

 To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.

 The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.

Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

 Bless ye the Lord, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.

Bless the Lord, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the Lord, O my soul.

My sister, Ana Banana Caroline Spencer--Mario?!

This morning at breakfast, my little sister Ana was painting a picture of Cinderella, and she looked up at me, and said: "Claire, I think I'm painting this picture for you, I think." (Please, as you read this story, keep in mind that Ana is three. :D) So I said, "Great, Ana! Thank you." She looks up at me again, and says: "What's your real name again?" (She means my whole name.) So I say: "It's Claire Elyse Spencer."
Ana: "My name is Ana Banana (her nickname) Caroline-what's the last one again?"
Me: "Spencer."
Ana: Oh, yeah, Spencer. And Mario, too, I think."

You might be wondering: This is a three-year-old girl we're talkin' about! Why would she want her name to be Mario? And how does she even know about it?
I got the Wii game MarioKart Wii for Christmas, and, quite frankly, Ana is all over it. Whenever I play with her, she always says: "Claire, I have a great idea! let's play MarioKart!"
*She doesn't really play; I give her the other Wii remote so she thinks she's playing. if she really plays, she gets frustrated because she doesn't know how, and she doesn't have the capability yet to learn.*
So now I have a sister named Mario.
And they all lived happily ever after. The End!
